“5 Tips to Navigate December” By Leslie Zann

Thanksgiving is here... that beautiful time to express your gratitude and enjoy some festive time with family and friends. You may have thought it couldn’t get here soon enough, AND YET...this year Thanksgiving weekend falls on the last four days of the month. Yes! When you come back on Monday, it will be DECEMBER 1!
Holy Smokes! I recommend that you pick up the pace RIGHT NOW and do your best to reach your monthly goals before the holiday weekend. So let’s review my top 5 Tips to successfully navigate the holidays with joy and results!

1) Make your month BEFORE the end of the year.

Take time right now to review your monthly goals and make a commitment to do what’s necessary to reach them. How many new people will you talk to? How many three-way calls with your sponsor and how many prospecting appointments will you make? How many new partners will you sponsor? Verify that you have enough time scheduled, and then keep your goals top of mind as you do your best to reach them before the holiday weekend. This way, you will close out the month on your terms!

2) Embrace Consistency

When you stop talking to new people for any length of time … you lose your ability to authentically and enthusiastically share your stories. Your prospecting skills get rusty. You begin to come from a position of desperation, rather than genuine passion. Champions choose consistency! When you CHOOSE to be INconsistent … you are choosing to self-sabotage your success. It’s excruciating! So don’t do it!

3) Share your Stories

Never underestimate the power of a well-packaged story to enable you to briefly and enthusiastically share your passion for your business and your products or service. Why do we share our stories? To create interest. Champions package and memorize their stories so they can deliver them on cue … authentically and effectively. So be prepared to make the most of every opportunity!

4) The Fortune is in the Follow-Up

As you navigate through the holidays, you will continue to meet new people, spend time with friends and family and come into contact with people every day as you simply live your life. Champions do not miss an opportunity to set a follow-up appointment. Meeting people is good. Sharing your story is better. Enjoying the follow-up is best!

5) Control your Calendar

I know we reviewed this tip in our last post and yet it’s worth repeating! Are you resisting scheduling your hours of operation? Every cycle of the year has its own unique benefits and distractions. The secret to staying consistent with your Direct Selling business is to make some strategic seasonal adjustments to your hours of operation. Do not ‘wing it’ or be REactive with your efforts. Champions are PROactive and schedule specific time to focus on their business.

Work with your Sponsor or someone in your upline to put these tips to work for you. If you take action now, December can be a record month for you in all areas; sales, sponsoring and organizational volume. Do you question that?

I guarantee you that come January 1, there will be hundreds, if not thousands of Consultants in your company who enjoyed a record month in December. Whether you are one of those Champions depends on the actions you take today.

I know you can do it! Find the joy and navigate December on your terms!
