“Education = Retention” An excerpt taken from Don &
Nancy Failla’s book “The System: How to Build a Large, Successful Network
Marketing Organization”
Over the years, I have found
that most people involved in network marketing all into one of the three levels
of activity: inactive, frustrated or inspired.
The inactive group are those
individuals who were exposed to a network marketing company program but were
not interested enough to become involved. Explanations for this state of
affairs can range from a poor company presentation to a prospect’s negative
attitude about the industry in general. Perhaps these people were simply not
excited about the product line.
Those people in the
frustrated category probably tried network marketing but were
unsuccessful. They have remained active because of motivating company
meetings, yet lack the ability to get their organization off the ground.
Typical causes of frustration are absence of sponsor support, incomplete
education about the company program or networking principles and early
experiences of rejection.
An inspired individual is the
person who will stand the greatest chance of success in network marketing. If
you ask a successful network marketing professional what motivates him, he will
almost always pinpoint his excitement about the residual income potential of
this marketing system as a key factor.
As a result of seeing this
over the past 40 years, the advice we give to marketers around the world is to
learn as much as they can about network marketing and find a company they can
believe in! Having a profound knowledge of network marketing not only provides
a permanent source of motivation, but also gives them the tools to be successful
with almost any company they choose.
